DELIVERANCE MINISTRY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST
GIRLS TRAFFICKING IN NEPAL
We live in a world that 100 years ago would have been barely imaginable to most people. Modern technology has transformed our lives in a lot of positive way, helping improve trade, make information more accessible, and facilitate communications between nations and people. However, technology has not addressed the problem of the human heart. And now, technology is being used to support elicit activities in which the most vulnerable are exploited. One of the greatest victims are young girls.
Girl trafficking is a social crime in which poor and vulnerable young females from rural areas are kidnapped from their families, transported to various locations, and forced into prostitution and hard labor. And unfortunately, it is an all-to-common practice in Nepal. Nepal has one of the highest rates for girl trafficking, given the high demand for young girls in the populous Indian Subcontinent. This practice also has historical roots from the Rana rulers of India, who were accustomed to having as many women as desired to serve as sexual slaves. Statistics show that between 25 and 30 thousand girls are trafficked each year. Human trafficking is currently illegal, but the State is not capable of affectively dealing with this massive problem.
The suffering of these girls is unimaginable. They are forced to service many men daily, kept inside for long stretches of time. Their forced use of multiple partners exposes them to diseases like AIDS and Syphilis. Once infected, they are sent away to die alone. Their families, who view them as a social disgrace, abandon them to die a lonely, painful death. The authorities are also unable to remedy the social stigma that affects the lives of survivors.
BUT THERE IS HOPE; GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST VOCATIONAL EDUCATION IS EMPOWERMENT
Some of our sisters who are member of Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal of Nepal are willing start ministry to save them and share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them and they are asking me to help in fund raising so that they could offer its rescued effort to these young women and provide vocational education with on-the-job practical training in Food Service, Carpentry, health and physical training education, Baking, Mechanics, Hairdressing, Housekeeping, Security Guarding, Floriculture or Handcrafts. A $50 investment supplies one month of vocational education; $600 pays for a full course (one year of training.)
