BASIC VALUE OF EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE OF NEPAL ( ECA-NEPAL )
At the heart of their commitment and practice, Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal (ECA-NEPAL) members want to live in accordance with the ethical principles they have set for themselves and in accordance with the values that inspire them.
They are firmly committed to religious freedom, as in particular the convention of European Union and United Nation on Human Rights commission stipulates it. They know that they are in solidarity with the world created by God and anxious to proclaim the Gospel in all its dimensions and to embody it.
They want to be particularly attentive to the development of quality relationships, respectful of everyone’s identity, without necessarily subscribing to the particularities of one or the other. They maintain an attitude of respect and openness among themselves and are ready to welcome new members in the same spirit. They take care to avoid controversy over points of disagreement and apply to positively manifest all possible communion. This type of relationship is maintained with even greater care in governance bodies through the practice of prayer and listening to the Lord Jesus Christ.
They take care to maintain inter-generational relations and prepare, in particular, the rising generation for taking responsibility within and outside the Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal (ECA-Nepal).
They favor consultation and collaboration; encourage projects and actions developed by the Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal (ECA-NEPAL) while recognizing everyone the freedom not to participate in all that is proposed. Unity is not synonymous with uniformity and does justice to diversity.
They consider that the means of action of the Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal (ECA-Nepal) are largely dependent on the commitment of volunteers.
They want the membership fees to cover a large part of the current financial needs. However, the Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal (ECA-Nepal) also allows itself to use other resources, particularly through the campaign for raising funds, and this, within an appropriate ethical framework.
They endeavor to behave in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ and to behave coherently. That is why they will always seek to act with honesty, humility, love and truth, and to conform their teaching and practice, both private and public, to Biblical revelation.
