EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE OF NEPAL EXISTS FOR:
- 1 We are an Evangelical Christian Alliance of Nepal called (ECANepal) to serve churches, institutions and individuals by strategic initiatives, capacity building and building solidarity, thus facilitating the mission of witnessing to the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed, and nation building.
- 2 As a representative body of Nepalese Evangelical Protestant Christian, the ECANepal is authorized to exercise among its members or on their behalf, a role of consultation, information, representation and animation of projects.
- 3It seeks to strengthen communion and consultation among its members as well as the collaboration and pooling of their common resources.
- 4 In respect of the more specific initiatives of its members, it is incumbent upon it to encourage the implementation of actions that go in this direction and that contribute to the progress of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the nation of Nepal.
- 5 It wants to promote a better perceptibility and visibility of Nepalese Protestant evangelical Christian faith, both concerning the public opinion as the communication media, political authorities, the administration, other Christian organizations and denominations or various representative bodies.
- 6 Given the common historical roots and the challenges posed to the whole of Protestant Christianity, the ECANepal takes care to develop a useful dialogue with the different Protestant Christian denominations of Nepal.
- 7 In general, she does everything possible to help her members be “the salt of the earth and the light of the world” (The Bible: Matthew’s Gospel, chapter 5, verses 13 and verses).
